SCARS / STRETCH MARKS

Stretch Marks

Stretch Marks are characterized by purple or white striated lines, thinned epidermis and damaged collagen and elastin fibres.

Stretch Marks typically appear as a shiny line on the skin of the abdomen, breasts, thighs, or buttocks that is often lighter than the surrounding skin. They are caused by the stretching and weakening of elastic tissues as a result of pregnancy or obesity.

The treatment strategy for Stretch Marks include stimulation of collagen and elastin, removal of scar tissue and cellular debris, increasing the skin’s food supply and restoring the skin barrier.
